If you have never heard of the Ultra Music Festival then you must not now music. The Ultra Music Festival is the highest grossing music festivals in the world. This event takes place every year in Miami around March and normally happens during the annual Winter Music Conference. This even started out in 1999 and started as a 1 day concert. A few years later the committee decided to make it a 2 day concert and with record numbers attending each year the Ultra Music Festival committee decided to make it a 3 day concert starting in 2011.
As you can probably already tell the Ultra Music Festival is a huge event that brings in tens of thousands of people to the city of Miami each year. The biggest reason why people come to Miami to see the Ultra Music Festival is because many big names and some up and coming groups perform there. One of the biggest groups to ever perform at the Ultra Music Festival was the Black Eyed Peas who performed in 2009. In 2009 there were many great groups and artists that all brought something new to the table and because of it more and more people came in 2010 which broke the record and made it the biggest music festival in the entire world. Just to give you a little taste of the amount of people that were in town for a mere 2 days were 100,000 attendees all flocking the streets of Miami to take in all the festivities.
In recent years there have been a lot of great artists that have come to Miami to perform including; Tiesto, Boys Noize, David Guetta, Jes, Crystal Castles, The Whip, Swedish House Mafia, The Ting Tings, The Prodigy, and last but definitely not least The Black Eyed Peas. Most people that have never been to the Ultra Music Festival think that all the groups that attend are no namers who don't even have record deals when in reality they are up and coming groups that are going to be big someday.
If you are ready to see the Ultra Music Festival in Miami then you need to know that the big names this year will be Duran Duran, Deadmau5, and David Guetta. The best thing about all three of these acts is they will be performing on different days so you will be able to catch them all while still taking part in all the fun and excitement happening in the city. Another thing that is great about all three of these main acts performing on different nights is the fact that there are many more acts that come before and follow them to give you all the music enjoyment that you could handle.
Tips to have a fun and safe time
Don't drink too much - Most of the time people will pick up an alcoholic drink here and there but you need to watch how much you actually drink. Most people will just keep drinking but you need to set a limit on how many you can drink each day because it can become too much very quickly especially with all the activities and the music.
