We received our New Wave Oven Pro today, which came in a reasonable amount of time. Three days after our order date. It was very nicely packaged and as we opened our box and removed all of the contents we also found a very handy laminated flash card, which is basically to use as a quick reference guide as it indicates cook times for several different meats including times for thawed or frozen meat, which we thought was very handy for those of us who take no joy in reading the directions.
The quick reference meal preparation guide really has everything you need to know to get you up and running in no time and will be a useful tool. While you familiarize yourself with the capabilities of the new wave oven, it is also written in two languages Spanish and English so its really all you need to get you up and running right away. For those of you who want to know it all before making your first move. There is also a more detailed instruction manual with in-depth, meal preparation guides included for those of you who plan on making magnificent meals and really learning all of the possibilities the oven has to offer.
Now that we have everything out-of-the-box there were really just a few main pieces. So there certainly will be no difficulty in assembling the oven as the parts are virtually self-explanatory. As you have the base as well as a pan and grill for cooking surfaces and lastly, the dome or cover, which also houses the motor and fan for the oven. So it goes together, very quick and easy and would be simple enough for even a child to assemble. Now as they advertise the new wave oven will cook from frozen to perfection and still have a juicy, flavorful meal with little to no preparation. So we are going to put that to the test.
We have a 3 pound T-bone steak that has been in the freezer for three days and we find on our handy dandy quick start guide that a piece of meat like this requires 30 minutes of cooking time on the high power setting. So we placed the steak on the grill, which was on the medium setting, put the dome on set the power on high and the timer on 30 minutes and let her rip. What is interesting about the new wave oven and the technology that uses to cook is infrared heat, convection and conduction simultaneously to achieve this ability to cook meat from the inside out.
So far, I must say it smells pretty good and I am a little bit on the hungry side. What is interesting is having such a clear view of the food you are cooking. The dome on the new wave oven is clear so you can actually watch your food being cooked and I must say we are coming up on the 30 minute mark now and it looks Golden Brown and juicy and its only been 30 minutes so lets put this baby to the test and see how it tastes. As I cut into the meat it is very juicy, it is cooked through and through and it is absolutely delicious. I can not believe that the new wave oven can go from frozen to the plate and 30 minutes and the meat retain this kind of moisture and juices it really is terrific and required absolutely no preparation. This would be a huge time saver for a wife and mother and certainly a bachelors dream.
The last thing I would like to point out with respect to the convenience of this oven is the cleanup. First of all the mess that is made in a traditional oven can get pretty ugly but with this it is contained to a much smaller area and as stated in the directions. It is all dishwasher safe so that is exactly what we are going to do take the base, dome and the cooking grill, place them right into the dishwasher set it and forget it. I can not imagine a quicker or easier way to prepare your food and all this for a reasonable price. I would have to say, they really did hit the ball out of the Park with the New Wave Oven Pro
