Well I'll give you a moment to ponder. Maybe you are a good cook. What's stopping you from filming your own cooking segment and placing it on the various community video sites such as YouTube, MetaCafe, and DailyMotion. Maybe you have an idea for a children's book. You can publish it online. Are you an expert on something? Share it with the world. Maybe you can teach a foreign language in the form of a webinar or eClass. Whatever your creative mind comes up with, don't leave the World Wide Web out of your plans for super stardom.
Modern technology has made it possible to demonstrate or solicit your products and talents via the internet. So the major TV network will not pick up your show idea...put it on the internet. You can actually create a basic website, register a domain name, and hosting company for less than a couple hundred dollars. Make sure to register your new website with the various search engines such as Yahoo, MSN, and Google.
3) Determine the medium to be used to illustrate your talent. Are you selling "how- to videos"? Are you teaching a foreign language class online? Can you interview important people? Whatever you talent is you have to find the best software to make it available for your new adoring fans. Before you run out to purchase all of those expensive products awaiting your new celebrity status, I am here to tell you that you can do this in at minimum. For example, GoToMeeting, Microsoft Live Meeting, and WebEx are some of the web meeting software solutions that will allow you to have cyber meetings, classes or webinars for a reasonable monthly fee. Adobe Writer is software that can convert your word processing documents into PDF files to use for your eBooks. YouTube, MetaCafe, and DailyMotion are some websites that will allow you to post videos, which could also include a catchy commercial for your website.
4) Open a merchant account. You need to be able to accept payment online so that your fans can get access to you products or services quickly. Some of the companies that provide low cost merchant solutions are Google Check Out, PayPal, and 2Checkout. It's important that you find a company that offers the best services and products for what you are looking to do. Whichever merchant account you decide, be sure to use a search engine and research the "reviews" of the merchant account to be able to make an informed decision.
Great, you have your idea, website, and payment method set in place. Now you have to put your marketing hat on and promote your site. There are various ways to do this. You can write an informative free article that will educate readers...much like the one you are reading now. You can send direct mail with eye catching post cards to your target audience. Your possibilities are limitless.
